I have tried this with another windowmanager, which tries to prevent
windows being resized to 0 (it takes some time, but it still crashes if
you try it hard enough). Anyway, I think resizing of dialog boxes should
be forbidden anyway?.

thanks to everybody involved - Lyx is a great program.
Anyway, I have found a foolproof way to crash it (1.1.6, compiled
myself):
Click on
Insert - Figure - Encapsulated Postscript
Then resize the dialog box to a height or width of 0.

When I copy text under Lyx 1.1.6 (compiled from original sources) using
Ctrl-C and try to paste it into emacs, lyx crashes with a SIGSEGV.
