There are some difficulties to get a backtrace with debug information, because
the compiler on this platform is provided by the university and is not
configured to work with the -g option. Sorry.

Compiling with g++ and gcc on the SUN solaris 2.6 LyX (versions 1.0.0 and
1.0.1) works fine. Hope, that information helps.
