Many thanks for responding. I will take a look at your layout and

For the start, and as a prerequisite that we can include it, could you
please add a statement (in this thread, if you want) that you agree to
license your contributions to LyX
I noticed when installing LyX2.5.app that most of the files to be
installed in .../Resources on MacOS are instead installed in a separate
"share" folder next to the app.
In the topmost CMakeLists.txt LYX_DATA_SUBDIR is properly set in line
506 but subsequently overwritten in line 590, resultin
