Yes, uninstalled all 2.3.0 pre-release version before trying to install LyX. I think the dialog asks whether I want to use LaTeX and asks me to provide the location of latex.exe manually. I think I never saw that before. I'll look more closely at it and provide a screenshot in an hour or so w

I'm planning to announce 2.3.0 around 17h00 UTC unless someone reports a major issue and suggests delaying. The biggest pending issue is that the 2.3.0 Windows binary is not working for racoon, but perhaps this is because of having tested pre-releases. The Windows installer seems to work fine for
