The attached patch changes the way LyX breaks paragraphs and avoids
superfluous blank lines causing too much vertical space.
It fixes bugs #8546 and #9055, and, at the same time, mantains fixed
bugs #4993, #5436, #7254, and #8049.
As the patch may change the output in some cases, I think it needs
