knitr & Sweave: are they supposed to work with ps2pdf?

Currently the sweave.lyx example fails to export to pdf (ps2pdf) for me: ! LaTeX Error: File `sweave-iris-boxplots' not found. ! LaTeX Error: File `sweave-iris-pairs' not found. knitr.lyx exports fine with ps2pdf but that's because it has no examples of generating images. Are these supposed to wo
