That’s because these environment variables NEED NOT be set
because they have default values (which may or may not be
sensible).
In MirBSD we just explicitly deviate from the defaults:
XDG_CACHE_HOME=$HOME/.etc/xdg/cache

I installed gitannex.
It seems to require that I will log in any cloud storage.
I tried to log in docs.google.com.
It was possible to give username and password, but it is not possible to
log in. I do not know what fails?
Is tere any cloud storage which allows Lynx to log in?
