I managed to install it after installing
python-xlib
python-wxgtk2.8
python-wxtools
wx2.8-il8n
as recommended here: http://wiki.wxpython.org/InstallingOnUbuntuOrDebian
Pity it's not in Ubuntu's repos or at least in a lubuntu PPA.
