Been testing for a week on my PowerBook G4. So far it has been excellent! Video
playback even with compositing under Compton works without the CPU overloading.
Web browsing is responsive. I use midori a lot and it works great.

there is currently a re-build of all the images for lubuntu[1]. We have
been told that there will the will be at least one more re-build. A new
kernel is coming and other fixes.
Again, those who can test PPC are really needed for us to have this variant
out as an LTS.

... I've now tried the 15.10 live image and that boots fine. Seems to
install OK, too, but is too large for the 4GB drive. So it seems there
is an issue with the LTS repositories..??

I've been trying to install the LTS version (14.04.4 standard and
14.04.1 alternate). Both fail in the same way during the initial install
download with a failure to download. I've tried several servers and also
v12.04.4 with the same result. According to the log, the same file is
the culprit f
For information,
Lubuntu 16.04 will be supported by our devs for 3 years, the kernel will
still get 5 year support.
