$ sudo swapoff -a
I tried it in a previous install but have no luck passing it through. I'm able
to perform the encryption using alternate ISO though.
It would probably be an issue to new users because the default installer would
be the one they would start

vivid-desktop-i386.iso
when I run
sudo swapoff -a
before the installer is started. I have 'Encrypted disk with LVM' now :-)

I agree, that it would be better if this issue is resolved. The
work-around to swapoff the zRAM is not too difficult, but of course, the
zRAM should be tolerated during the installation.

I found what I think is a new bug in Lubuntu Vivid 64-bit (installed via
the alternate installer).
1429531: users-admin cannot create a new user. Nothing happens when I
click on '+ Add user'
It works with the CLI tool
sudo adduser newuser
