For some reason my msg about the keyboard backlight *NOT* working by

Oh... I had a laptop that had some ACPI issues... I ended up having to
update my BIOS to fix the issues, though I could work around it by
running acpi=off (which is a terrible option to have to use) and I
eventually found running the 64bit version (even though I only had 2 Gig
of memory) work remar

The devs never give up on a bug, it is just a case of attacking the
critical ones 1st. In this unusual case, as the update manager itself was

The vast majority of Pentium M and Celeron M CPUs are suitable for
fakepae or forcepae and can work with PAE kernels. But some of these
processors need a non-pae kernel.
Jack Trice has a Pentium M 1.70 GHz which does not work with forcepae.
