I would like to argue like Jonathan about the testing environment, but I
think Phill has very good intuition or knows something we don't know, or
maybe it is a simple boot option issue.
I used the alternate iso to install the Lubuntu Saucy alpha 2 32-bit

But we keep the "classic" theme. Small screens need small buttons :)

Yes I can confirm and I added myself to the bug.
Speaking of pavucontrol, it's the only way I found to manage audio trough
hdmi with invidia cards. I didn't find other way, seems alsamixer can
enable it but not select it.
