You have great ambitions, amjjawad. Good luck :-)
I want to help in this project, but I'm busy being a parent, and I can
easily get very occupied. There are periods, when I have time, and I can
certainly test Lubuntu on hardware of different age. I hope I can also
contribute in discussions and pla
Hi guys,
Interesting stuff.
Just try to post emails in plain text, instead of rich text if possible.
Thanks. :-)

Hi Folks,
just so everyone knows. The up coming EOL dates were a little bit staggered
on the exact dates. To bring everything together, the Release Team have
decided upon the following.
The following releases will all reach End Of Life on May 9th 2013.
Hardy 8.04 (Server)
Ubuntu 10.04 (Desk Top)
*Don't worry, it's already in my head. I'm just waiting for 13.04 to be
properly released before starting the flow of discussion. It's not
impossible to go for a 14.04 LTS release, but the detail need to be
discussed, and are dependent to many factors (our release model, the

If truth to be told, this is my HUGE project for the moment and on my

I have one year to achieve that and I have started since few days already :)

I have been thinking about XP end of life too. This is a great
opportunity, and a Lubuntu LTS version will be handy to offer to all
those people who don't need and don't want new computers.

Hi,
LXLE is a nice project. It is an Extra Life Extension and not yet a fully
Linux Distribution.

Yes please :-)
I'm sure you are aware of LXLE. I think it is ambitious (nice looking
and working well). Will it be possible to keep

So, as this effects only Lubuntu ATM;
11.10 reaches EOL April 2013
12.04 reaches EOL October 2013
12.10 reaches EOL April 2014
13.04 reaches EOL January 2014
So 12.10 is supported 3 months longer than 13.04. Then going forward;
13.10 reaches
Thanks, this is brilliant.
Some early feedback; I'm guessing you're aware of most of it:
- UX for when going to a directory that doesn't exist is pretty bad; I
would suggest graying out the background and either an infobar or a
chrome-style error message with a button to create the directory.

When I added Seahorse to Lubuntu, it didn't put an icon in any of the menus.
