The ubuntu spins are Linux systems. It is just a different form of it. Even
if we did leave out the word linux, the users will hear about it anyway.
I think for now, we are just introducing ubuntu. Once the users are
comfortable with the system then we can dig deep into the heart of it,

Overall, the more test cases the better. That is the whole idea I believe.
We are trying to test every aspect if Ubuntu catching anything that hurts
its functionality. If we believe a test case should primary then we should
make primary or optional. We want to grow our testcase database. It is

I agree that the "install alongside" option can be replaced by manual

So lubuntu targets Ubuntu users who like the simplicity of operating a
Linux OS but with lxde. Now I know the audience for lubuntu what about
ubuntu in general?

Yeah, I am one of the people who were able to get some 32bit images booting
on my system. The other flavors worked fine except for lubuntu 32bit. I
believe it had something to do with the xsever not supporting my GPU.

A new c compiler will be introduced in 15.10. This is going to require a
major rebuild of the core packages for both desktop and phone. We need to
keep our eyes on this when testing starts.

The daily images of 15.10 are out. Image 20150510 is using GCC 4.9.2.

You can also change the theme to clearlooks. With the workarounds
