Nio, I've just tested your instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/grub-n-iso from items a) to f1), g) and h) and now on the live session cat /proc/cpuinfo reports 36 bits physical so I guess my Celeron M 1.2Ghz has PAE capability. note that on lubuntu 12.04 it's reporting 32 bits phys
