I added a couple of comments to that bug report.
Not sure how we'd mention that in the Release Notes?

Hi Phill,
I'm Lance (lbsolost), not Lars, but I don't mind as long as Lars doesn't :^)
Where can we view the proposed release notes?
I apologize for being a major pain, but that's kind of who I am.

Test until we're told to stop! I'll keep the release team in the loop :)

Xubuntu has some uncompleted testcases also, and there are a lot of uncompleted
upgrade tests which are incredibly time consuming. I'm waiting for a last
minute bug fix to hit Ubuntu GNOME.
They're the new kid on the block this time, we all remember what that was like

I'm getting this error "Fixing recursive fault but reboot is needed!" on

I think your mention in the release notes regarding that upgrade bug is good.

Hi everyone,
it with great delight that 13.04 is released. Please read the
Announcement[1] and Release Notes[2] before installing / upgrading.
Thanks to everyone who helped make 13.04 our best release yet!

Phill.

Yes, thanks, that gets it to boot, the video parameters are not needed.
But how can that be made permanent so that manual intervention is not
needed with each reboot?

Thanks. That worked. It now boots without intervention.

Hi Julien,
Now, that we have launched Raring, it's time to start thinking about the
future of Lubuntu :-)
One thing that I hope we can achieve, is to make the next version able
to cooperate with Pentium M, that has no pae flag, but still the ability
to run i686-pae kernels of *ubuntu.
I have ver
Thank you very much to the people who jumped in to test PowerPC for Kubuntu.
Thanks to you we were able to release Kubuntu 13.04 for PowerPC (we missed it
for 12.10 due to a lack of testers/lack of work arounds for issues that were
found). Because you not only ran the test case, but kept at it

Good to know. Probably the same for your alternate installs. I guess that
confirms it should be a kernel bug? Looking through 1066435 and 1071880
there are a few issues possibly mixed together. It might be a good idea to
file a new bug against server to clarify that? Looks like it also happened

Hi Boss,
we did discuss, and finally went with a new desktop system once before.
Provided, as then, we have a Plan 'B' (which we used), I'm sure none of the
testers will have issues. (Well, they can scream at me! )

Hi Boss,
Brian Murray altered me to a bug[1] that may affect upgrading 12.10 -->
13.04. I've not seen a report on #lubuntu or by mailing list. Brian has
pulled in and set up a 12.10 lubuntu VM for further investigation. since
the initial report to me, he has updated the bug.

not to take focus away from lubuntu here, but jonathan and fernado, could
you both try all of the flavours and try and find bugs in the accessablity
stuff?

Hi Erick,
as you will see, this bug has been 'stood down' from a really important bug
on release day. We are always very alert of such things when the releases
go 'wild' to all the different computer systems.
As long as we are aware of it. Release day always brings in 'zero-day'
bugs, in this cas
Hi Jackson,
great news about the hackfest; get it all updated. Having testdrive working
with the updated VBox and KVM will be good. The new VBox version should be
in the repos now. As to the new members of the ubuntu family who got added
last cycle, I do hope you guys can get this all sorted out f
as in Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, Ubuntu.
if ever you find something that doesn't work or could be improved, please
file a bug immediateness.
Telling the various mailing lists would help too.

Hi Jonathan,
apart from long time, no chat & I hope you are well, what I mean is elder
computer hardware. I'm sorry if this was not evident in my earlier post.
Are, for example, the PPC users going to be dropped BEFORE 14.04, or, are
we going to support them as LTS.
