Thanks! I'd heard rumours of usb boot workarounds before but never the recipe. I've done lots of firewire target mac installing (saved me a couple of times) but got nowhere aiming Linux ISOs at mounted FW targets trying from OSX Mtn Lion, getting less Unix all the time. G

I see some passed with blank screen after install bugs (green.) This is a common problem with PPC/older video chipsets. I just did an alternate on G5 which successfully installed, but blank screen after install will require workarounds. Is this a pass with green bug, or fail with red bug? Thanks
