There's a build of Ffox for PPC scheduled, hopefully in time for 12.10, if
it does not arrive in time I guess we would have no option but to use the
one from 12.04.

Phill.

Just making sure you guys saw yesterday that I did a powerpc 12.10
live session and along side install from USB drive, and that I was
able to get FireFox 11.0 installed in both circumstances.
At least on my hardware FF will run even though it is not on the

AFAIK they're just doing the last spins and tidy up before A1 goes
'milestone' release. It seems Lubuntu is flying the flag for ppc arch! I
*think* kubuntu will join in part way through the cycle once they're ready
to bring all their variants on. I've no idea what xubuntu has planned.

The Alpha-1 tests are locked already. That was short.
The dailies are not yet available.

Hi Julien.
when chatting to Nicholas (balloons on IRC) in todays QA meeting, he did
not mention it as a block to A1 for ppc (There are a lot of other things to
test!). I guess a mention in the release notes for ppc A1's is warranted to
prevent duplicate bugs arriving on the bug tracker.

Probably not for Alpha 1, last update of firefox still not build on powerpc.
Alpha 1 is supposed to "just" boot and install properly (no crash,
system usable ...). So, IMO we should not block the rele
Hi Lars,
Note that it "CAN" be fixed, I haven't got a date on when it "WILL" be
fixed. As Julien is attached to the bug, he will be able to let us know
when it lands in the repos so it can be added to the sources list for
building with. From my reading of the Mozzilla bug report, they appear to

Excellent. Is there way to get a heads up on which new Alpha image for
the ppc will contain the browser?
