I believe this is a duplicate of Bug #1256588 that I reported back in

Hi Lars,
there has / is work being done on the greeter... the proposed one had to be
killed via ALT + CTRL + T using a kill -9. Julien has released some new
stuff today which sorts out the firefox bug. Let the autobuild of the ISO's
occur on 19th March

I'm looking at the 2014-03-18 image for Lubuntu Desktop PPC and the
installer starts and runs normally up until just after the password and
user name are collected. After that, the dialog box / window just
disappears and the mouse pointer stays as a spinning disc indefinitely.

Ok. I hadn't noticed new spins until yesterday so I figured
(incorrectly) that they were ready for testing. I'll wait for Phill's
announcement instead.

The 2013-08-04 PPC Desktop image won't boot past the splash screen with
the 'Lubuntu 13.10' title and the four dots. I've tried adding the
previously needed options 'video=radeofb:1280x854-32@60
snd-powermac.blacklist=yes' and that has no effect.
The consoles are available via ctrl-alt-f1 etc. I
Thank you very much to the people who jumped in to test PowerPC for Kubuntu.
Thanks to you we were able to release Kubuntu 13.04 for PowerPC (we missed it
for 12.10 due to a lack of testers/lack of work arounds for issues that were
found). Because you not only ran the test case, but kept at it

Speaking of work-arounds, I'll be getting to the Lubuntu PPC Alternat
disc a little later today. Last time I tried, it would not boot after

Jajaja..
all that needs to happen between this email and Thursday afternoon (UTC) is
for the ppc images to be checked! And, if you have chance, please also
check the kubuntu-ppc image, it will not be CD sized. Any of the 'standard'
ppc bugs can be applied to it so they can reference them in their
great work guys, it's a shame we got this close to release, but good work.

I have even better news,
julien (our boss on lubuntu-devs) has not only got the alternate iso onto a
diet, but the release team have also re-spun it.
Hat's off to the people who do care. Please let us know if the alternate is
also CD sized. I know there are other bugs on the system, but getting a
