We could always aim for an early (~beta1/14.02) release of 14.04 that will

tested till it is back to normal. if that is a problem can i suggest we
make a cd sized image that then downloads the rest of the files, i.e. a
semi-netboot image

i have only had reason one affect standard ubuntu. reason 2 doesn't affect
kubuntu. and i haven't tested on ppc, i was going to this-morning but the
image is oversized(something that hugely affects ppc).
