(I don't have a 1512, but it is said perfect, on the openprinting.org printers
databases).
Nowadays HP PSC printers are best configured using hplip-gui, that's to say,

What you are saying, include meta-packages of the software to install after the
initial installation of the OS. Then the second stage of the OS begins. During
this second stage, does the installer pick the packages they want, or are the
meta-packages going to install the packages they are referr

stable, and will not always chase the latest version. Which exact
version of hplip ma

If you only deal with one computer, it's easy to make sure you have all the
right packages installed. However,
That is an interesting concept Ian. Could you elaborate why you feel
meta-packages would be a good idea?

That makes sense. CDs aren't very big and some older computers can only boot
from CD. Some only from floppy if they managed to escape death.
I would say "you installed something that sucks". There are good reasons to use
abiword and gnumweic. It is optional and keeps in-mind that office producti

How can I get logs or relevant installation data if the installation
won't complete even to where I can get a console?

included are to complement that purpose. I believe libreoffice is a more
productive office suite for any grade of Linux distributions. Why not included
libreoffice in Lubuntu? Better yet, when the user first installs a
