Your assumed answers are correct except for the last one. Greg will
have to confirm, but here the yaboot command is not required once the
system is installed. It is only required when booting from the live CD.

I went ahead and installed Precise Lubuntu amd64 on a spare partition on my

it and the dist-upgrade is now running via: update-manager -d -c ..

HI Lance,
if no one does it over night, I have a PP AMD64 iso, so I can run it in VM

I have only one PC that I can test amd64 on so I'll update all of my images and
finish testing the i386 alternate images on my old VIA C7 box while I'm testing
the amd64 live images on my Intel box. Then I'll hit the amd64 alternate images
on the Intel box.
I should be able to pull that off,

PS, it's purely a time availability issue.

Hi Greg,
with all the respins, the table looks a bit barren. ppc-alternate can go
through with the release note. Walter cannot get Desktop-ppc to work at
all. By all means have a dabble with desktop, but don't beat yourself up.
Assuming Walter gets the server-ppc one to do the base installs, I'll
I'm just finishing up with i386 and unless something horrible happens I can

Phill,
Are we satisfied with the amd64 and i386 isos or do I need to concentrate
on them or ppc. I can do two at once but three is a bit much for testing
simultaneously. I plan on doing what I can tonight but with the respins and

Hi guys,
As so far attempts to install Desktop-ppc seem to fail with nVidia, could
someone with Radeon chipset please test. If it passes with Radeon, we can
pass it & include a release note.

Hi Lars,
I'm sorry to have to ask As you may have noticed there have been
