Ah ha you been watching huh? I figured I could get the Xubuntu amd64
desktop & alternate as I had both zsynced at lunch just in case. I had
tested them a little during previous testing so I was already ready when
Phill put out the SOS from jibel.
Thanks Lance but everything we do is as a team.
I just wanted to send out a special thank you to Greg Faith for getting right
on top of this. I do have one 64 bit box I could test on but I generally prefer
not to so I didn't have any images to zsync and the servers at Canonical are
super slow ATM (probably because they're uploading images for

Hi good people,
There has been a request filed for anyone who can test out the amd64
re-spins (done about an hour ago) for Xubuntu and ubuntu-studio. I think we
have a chance of testing Xubuntu, but you guys & gals always prove me wrong.

What time tomorrow (UTC) do the torrents come online? Since many of us
probably still have recent ISO images lying around we might as well seed
to spread the load.

This used to be my defaut configuration: xcompmgr -C -c -r 8 -t -12 -l

It worked fine, but the "trans" effect has glitches and sparks around
windows, due to nVidia problems. Happens too on some ATIs.

Hi Lars,
Thank-you for all your testing. I am sure that I speak for all the QA team
when I say that I look forward to you being here for 12.10. Take a break
for a few weeks! Pick your time in the alphas to come test, as you know; no

What can I say?
I'll let the -release team know that we're good to ship lubuntu over to
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/216/builds as soon as they
have done the AMD-64 repsins accross all the family (it solves the
multi-arch bug on upgrading).
Hey, we would not have the new members

Too late for respins now, but anyone who can check it out would be welcome.

Hi Lance,
thanks for the Wubi testing some poor soul has to do it :/ I *may* be
able to a good friend of mine to test Wubi once it hits beta for 12.10 on
his windows machine; heck, I can but ask :)
@Karl, it is worth mentioning under QA that there are zero-day updates. The
iso's are pretty m
AFAIK I'm the only one that did Wubi testing this time and it's likely this
will be the last time I do it. It simply requires too much maintenance to keep
a Windows OS prepared for Wubi testing.
I simply think my time is better spent since I don't use Windows ;^)

Nothing big happening.
It looks like mplayer is failing on older processor hardware. (no
need to report this it's on the release notes)
in the meeting it was mentioned that the qa team badly needs wubi
testers, and amd64+mac testing (Probably need PPC help also I'm not
100% sure )

Hi,
On the AMD64 hardware, I've had trouble getting connected to the wireless:

But have not normally a wireless network to collect more info about the
nature of the problem. About all I can do is try to collect data which
