following on from yesterdays QA meeting, the work-around options for a
kernel bug[1] which should only affect few [2].

Hi,
I dare not even give a deffinate ETA for them. There is so much work going
on at the moment as they pull in as many bugs as they can. what will happen
is http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker will show that the RC has arrived. I
could ask Nicholas or Kate to send an email, but it would be held up
doesn't matter to me. Good luck with your testing those macs.

I tried pinging kanliot earlier, but got no response. As we have the RC
released tomorrow, there are a few things I'd like you to mention on my
behalf if Karl misses the meeting.

The 'fix' which is kernel based, will not land in 12.04. (So, no last
minute kernel!). After chatting to the -release team they recommend that as
the bug does seem very limited, using the workaround at comment #24 should
be sufficient. They do not feel it is needed to be noted in the releas
