Obviously i second Paul :)
Just a small remark: As far as i understand, in theory, pcmanfm should
have *NO* problem anymore (since 0.9.10 or so, it should be capable to
do obex - and it does, out of the box, with debian!).

I forgot to note this, two petitesses:
Is it a feature or a bug? When lubuntu comes up after login sound is
set by default to mute. It's not that big of a deal to turn it on ;-)
but i'd consider it should, by default. Same goes for brightness. It
should be at 100% by default and only reduced if a l
Thanks,
We do need to target what is where. Maybe blue tooth turned back on just
for the Intel-Macs? and left off for ppc? It was the issue of people
re-adding it in and pcmanfm having issues was why I asked for a build
during the short period before beta 2 has to be tested with it as default.

Hi,
As for a priority, if I were you, I'd make it low priority to put it back in,
as the newer Mac users have Mac OSes which probably work just fine for them and
might be jumping on the Lubuntu bandwagon too soon. And Mac laptops make up
the majority of new sales anyway. All new Macs for the p
Hi Boss,
I know we dropped bluetooth from 12.04 for i686 & amd64 due to lack of
need. It appears blue tooth is much more used in the Mac world (some of
them come with blue tooth keyboard & mouse with wired ones an optional
extra, for example). I'm hopeful it is not a case of asking for a Feature

Hi Paul!
Thanks for your quick answer. I think - like you, seems - bluetooth is
somewhat essential. But, installing the lubuntu 12.04 beta1 ppc it was
*NOT* installed by default!
The link you gave me is useful, but i don't find there anything
related to how make pcmanfm cooperate with bluetooth u
Bluetooth is the standard mouse and keyboard connection mode on Macintosh iMac
computers, has been for almost two years now. (Getting wired keyboard and mice
with your iMacs are special orders.) Since those Mac users are using MacOS
10.6 or 10.7 and can upgrade to 10.8 if they want to, I don'
This isn't for LightDM, this is for LDM (the LTSP Login Manager). There
currently isn't a theme for LTSP in Ubuntu, so if you run LTSP from a

Someone told me, bluetooth support was not included to lubuntu by
purpose (considered not necessary). Now, i think bluetooth is somewhat
essential (to connect to peripheries), at least for me (i'm
transferring lots of photos by bluetooth and it's a pain in the *** to

Well it may not be a bug, but I do have a bug with Lubuntu 12.04 PPC on
G3 and G4 computers. The LightDM login screen is black, with white text,
no buttons. Oh it works, and and it actually sometimes appears as it
should (grey with buttons), but I've filed a separate bug report for
that.

Is this the LTSP login manager? Lubuntu already has its own theme on
every login manager it ships, including the new LightDM version for
Precise Pangolin, or its predecesor LXDM.
Sorry but I don't see the bug here.

o jordan,
The adding module process did not work for me, maybe I missed a step.
Should I add my comments to yours at your bug report?
I still like your idea, especially the part about getting KMS to work as "KMS
is the future"
What I tested on a G3 iMac 400MHz, Lubuntu precise-alternate-powerpc.

Lars I did test the daily persistence on the lubuntu desktop amd64 date
20120307 and it did work after I got my flash drive set up properly. I have
no idea how it will work on the ppc. amd64 +MAC or other flavors of the
iso. I will check the i386 maybe today.
