http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Pinnacle_PCTV_HD_Card_(800i)
The description is out of date with respect to my recent card.
It did not work in 3.12.20, 3.17.7, and I finally downloaded the
latest GIT of media_build

So, I do have a working box, but updating kernels is broken. I'd

I have posted earlier on the MythTV and SL lists, without getting
suggestions leading to a solution.

ahah, this information isn't enough. Your Vendor/Product ID for this
device is compared in a lookup a table.

Thanks again, not only for your help with my change, but with all you did to
provide support for the Hauppage equipment.
I'd add that being the beginner at making kernel changes your review
is particularly
helpful to me
repeatedly.

I have problems with my audio that I've tracked down to the transfer
of audio from the au0828
in my hvr-950Q. I spotted the following comment about green screen
detection and I wonder
if it might be related.
drivers/media/video/au0828/au0828-video.c:
/* Workaround for a bug in the au0828
are images from xc3028-v27.fw,
type: xc2028 firmware, ver 2.7
[ 523.838414] xc2028 1-0061: Loading firmware for type=BASE F8MHZ (3), id
.
[ 524.474232] xc2028 1-0061: i2c output error: rc = -5 (should be 64)
[ 524.481383] xc2028 1-0061: -5 returned from send
[ 524.481387] xc20
Andy,
It turned out to be a bad card. The memory chip was the standard chip
you mentioned below. I went and got another one and it worked right
out of the box. Thank you for the help though.

More majordomo inf
s everyone benefits from a
highly tested GPL'ed driver. I even image a tool that allows
designers to generate the firmware files while viewing the data on the
framebuffer, but thats a future discussion.
