v2: Rebase after renaming
drivers/media/i2c/adv7604.c | 337
1 file
It is confusing which parts of the driver are adv7604 specific, adv7611
specific or common for both.
This patch renames any adv7604 prefixes (both for functions and defines) to
adv76xx whenever they are common.

Hello,
I have an usb MyGica T119 using the firmware dvb_nova_12mhz_b0.inp and
modules smsdvb and smsmdtv from Siano.
The IR is not being detected.
I have googled and looked in this email, I have only found some old
patches but I could not find a solution.
Is there any way to make it recognized?
I'm trying to detect when a user unplugs a camera while I'm doing
v4l2_read, but even when I get logs like this:
libv4l2: error queuing buf 0: No such device
libv4l2: error queuing buf 1: No such device
libv4l2: error queuing buf 2: No such device
libv4l2: error dequeuing buf: Input/output error
After testing all day non-stop, I can confirm this works great without
throwing oops.
THank you very much.

Yes! This patch worked. So far I got no kernel panic, and image is
correct. Will be testing today to see if something comes up, but so
far it's doing great. Thank you!

With that patch, libv4l throws an error at some point, no crashes so far though:
libv4l2: error dequeuing buf: Invalid argument
read error 22, Invalid argument

Can you tell me how to obtain such backtrace? This is a hard panic and
I don't know how to obtain a backtrace, since the keyboard gets
unresponsive.

I have a program where I use libv4l's read() emulation for simplicity.
But with most v4l2 webcams I've tried, I get kernel panics.
I have pics of the message if anyone cares to see them, I don't want
to flood the mailing list.
Basically, the names I see in the kernel panic from a uvcvideo card is
: Handlers=kbd event6
B: EV=13
B: KEY=2c0814 14 0 0 0 4 2008000 2090 2001 1e 4400 0 ffc
Unfortunately there is no sound.
