properly decode it. Check that the software you are using is properly capable of

And for what I see, Janne Grunau is also having problems with the card. See what
he have just posted...:

Hi,
This is something that has been hapening lately (since some months
ago). I'm currently using Gentoo 64 bits (kernel 2.6.29, but using
LinuxTV HG code for DVB), and I've observed that rebooting the system
gets the card completely hanged.
This is what happens:
· after rebooting, the card
I asked the same question some time ago... Apparently you can't: the
only alternative is to unsubscribe to the list and then using a RSS
feed reader (better if it lets you directly answer a given message in
the list).
Or else use the gmane interface to the list:

Have you tried rmmoding the module (dvb_usb_dib0700) and reloading it?
I think that it was in such a case where it then wrongly detected the
card as 'cold', attempting to reload it, which failed.

Hi,
Same here. I've been observing the same behaviour in the lastest
times. I can't say exactly since when this happens, though.
I've observed that stopping mythbackend, unloading the driver with
'rmmod dvb_usb_dib0700' and rebooting again seems to fix the problem.
By the dmesg it seems like
Ok, thanks. I'll give it a try. Thanks for your help.

I really preferred the other way (it's what I also use for other mail
lists such as mythtv-users and mythtv-dev), and I found it very
convenient...

Hi,
Well, title says old... In previously linux-dvb list I was
subscribed to the daily digest modality of the list, so I was getting
only 2 or 3 digest messages per day. This is something I really miss
now, as I really prefer this way of subscribing to a mail list,
instead of just receiving eve
That's great, I really hope your patches finally find their way into
the main tree. I'm just tired of manually downloading & patching HG
sources everytime I needed to recompile the kernel...
Anyway, I've been using the card for some time now (almost a year,
IIRC...) and it runs very well in DVB-S
Hi,
Another way of controlling the numbering schema of your DVB
devices is to blacklist the modules (so udev doesn't load them)m and
then modprobing them manually at system startup. This is what I did
for my Nova T-500 and Avermedia A700.
Briefly (this is for Gentoo, running OpenRC):
In /etc/
I'll give it a try, thanks.

PS: by the way, this works fine when using revision 10189, just
before CX88 dependencies got altered.

'M', if I understand it well. I wasn't using it, so maybe this
explains why the option was hiddenly marked as 'Y' instead of 'M'.

0 & 10191, precisely for
reasons related to cx8802 dependencies, so I'm not sure the solution
taken there was the right one.
