How about a keycode sensitive repeat delay?
A short delay for vol+/-, ch+/-, etc.
A medium delay for digits, fast forward, rewind, pause, play, stop, etc.
A long delay for power, mute, etc.

I'm trying to use my Dikom DK-300 usb dvb-t device connected to an old
laptop used as media player.
The device works well but if I suspend to ram the pc when it is
plugged in, the system hangs when I try to resume it.

The CrossBar driver allows to use one sensor by multiple
consumers. The CrossBar splits a single sensor V4L2 subdev
into multiple subdevs, which are registered into subdev pool.
