should fix your problem.
Indeed, only a few days ago, 3.2.32 migrated into Wheezy - which cures
the problem.
Issue resolved (for now).
Thanks a lot to everyone,

Hi everyone,
I've been running into a problem while installing Debian Wheezy on a bunch
of 6-year old machines which have been running Squeeze happily for years.
They are SuperMicro-based (H8SSL opteron board), with two BCM95704A6 (Tigon3)
interfaces, and a BMC/IPMI card (SuperMicro 1U) which sh
cookbook how
to build such a system (there are boot/root floppy systems around,
but I cannot figure out how to create them or something similar,
and "live filesystem" CDs seem to be no longer en vogue)?
Many thanks,
Steffen

Hey cool down dude.
That's exactly the a
e things wrt the CS5530 controller chip. So I'll try both
things: a newer kernel (2.2.16 is in the SuSE upgrades) _and_ the append
parameter.
And BTW: Isn't Andre's writing style very lovely ?

It has just been discovered that
s/scsi/scsidocs/c40xxfaq.txt
this may help you to find out more (didn't check the URL again)

Software is like sex - it's better when it's
for your kernel
Works fine here (2.2.16)
Don't know about PCMCIA though

Software is like sex - it's better when it's free. ---
r a bad
controller. Have to switch everything off, even the RESET switch
won't help. I'd blame the BIOS only.
BTW, the built in SCSI utilities are buggy - one cannot rescan the bus...
Are there still upgrades (EISA is meant to be upgradeable) floating
around?
