I've looked at his configuration a bit, it's maybe an X bug. I've
only tried using the MX1000 standalone, there might be some issues
when using multiple pointer devices with different button counts at
the same time (e.g. normal 3 button mouse + 12 button MX1000).

Horizontal scrolling works fine for me. I just get repeated 6/7
events, nothing else.
I'm using the configuration described at:
without strace?
I only see this problem when I run with 'strace -f' and java wants to
exit (apart from that java works correctly). I don't see the dependency
on the heap size here.
