Hi Alan,
Will you incorporate Andre IDE patches into the 2.2.19preXX
kernel? If not, do you have any plan to do so in the very near future?
I know this issue has been discussed before. But there has not been
any progress.
I have been following the kernel development for years. I have seen
many
rverworks were able to supply the information quickly.
This could be a good approach in getting information from Serverwork outside
of NDA.

Serverworks wants to support the Linux community. Thus they are
willing to share certain information to developers without risking the IP.
Recently ASL has been working with Serverworks in supporting the
lm-sensor project and other Linux software developer.
Let me know if you need some help with
Alan,
I agree with your point. In term of usability, the e100 driver has a wider
range of support for the Intel NIC cards.

You should use the Intel e100 driver at
http://support.intel.com/support/network/adapter/pro100/100Linux.htm.
It works much better than eepro100.

Hi Alan.
I hope you will consider to integrate Andre IDE patche into the 2.2.18 or
2.2.19 kernel. For Linux to become a successful desktop platform, it needs
better IDE support. Andre has done a tremendous job in getting the IDE
driver support for so many chipsets such as Promise, CMD, VIA, and
H
Cody,
The 2.2.x kernel with Andre UDMA patch can support up to 4 Promises cards.
If the onboard IDE is disabled, then you can have 5 Promises cards.

Jan,
Motherboards that have integrated Promise Ultra/100 controller use
the 20265 chipset. The standard Promise Ultra/100 PCI card uses the
20267 chipset. However, both chipsets are supported in Andre patch
dated 08/05 or later. The latest patch is dated on 08/25. You can
download it at the follo
