On my FC5 box with the stock 2.6.15 kernel the system works with SATA
CD's.
When I put my own 2.6.16.16 kernel in the SATA CD's do not work. What
could I have missed in the configuration options???

Using FC5 with a 2.6.15 kernel my system (Dell Optiplex) see both
drives.
Using the 2.6.16.16 kernel that I've built I see no CD-ROM drives.
What could I have missed in the configuration?

Good evening gents!
I need some help in allocating memory and understanding how the system
allocates memory with physical versus virtual page tables. Please
consider the following snippet of code. Please, no wisecracks about bad
code; it was written in 30 seconds in haste :-)

Good morning all,
We're seeing a problem where an application is being killed from what
appears to be an out of memory issue. Can anyone offer any insight on
this for me?
Thanks!

and build that way but still no go.
What am I missing to get the 2.6.16.16 kernel to see a SATA CD-ROM drive
in normal, non-legacy move?

I want to be able, in my C++ code to designate a specific thread to a
specific processor. I've heard rumors that with the 2.6 kernel this is
now possible???
Thanks,
