1) return taskid instead of it's pointer (&taskid), or
2) if you have to return a significant amount of memory, then have it
alloc'ed.

ovide the user with direct access to that memory, it's
fine.
Otherwise, you could implement some primitives in kernel space, and make
those accessible via ioctl.
