It is not GSM, only CDMA & LTE.
Does anyone know if it is possible to bring it over and use it with a
carrier here?

There is no LTE provider here.
And 3G is UMTS based.

For multilanguage input I use hacker's keyboard with hebrew completion
dictionary.
