Hi Erez, About your first problem - xfs serves Type1 and bitmap fonts too, if you configure it to the Type1 / bitmap directories paths. Have you checked you don't have other Type1 and bitmap iso8859-8 fonts installed? > btw: how do I stop xfstt from changing the fonts names

Instead of setting up xfstt in XF86Config try setting it using xset. The command should be something like "xset +fp tcp://{something}". You should have xfs running before you run this command. For more information and the correct syntax consult the xfstt docs. I use this command in m
