Well, I run kde on a 486/66 with 24 megs and it runs relativly fine (I can't say thats its fast enough, but defently faster then win 3.11 that I have installed). Probably something with your setup is wrong. Try to recompile the kernel, usually helps. BTW what kernel version are you working with? Y
