I am not sure my reply reached the list, since I didn't get it back.
Anyway, I made all the configuration changes mentioned to XF86Config and
Xdefaults,
and still can't get the scrolling wheel to work.
I am attaching those 2 files, if anyone can help, I'll be very happy.

Basiclly, all you need to do is to add something like:
'ZAxisMapping4 5' or 'Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"' if you're using
X4 to your XF86Config. after that, GNOME/KDE applications should work with
the wheel. for

imwheel.
