But I thought you also said that emacs was acceptable. VM and GNUS can
add headers, too.

As you might remember
I am confined to Mail.

Which is not too convenient. Good mailers (MUAs) let you add any
header to the message. Pine, AFAIR, lets you only add
header). For example, this thread looks like this in my mailbox:
443 D Nov 11 dorit ben shalo ( 22) list question
444 D Nov 11 Alex Shnitman ( 57) +->
445 D Nov 11 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ( 18) | +->Re: list question (work around)

MHonArc fine.
Just slow.

the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command
echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Apart from the fact that I seem to confuse
MHonArc :)
What do I need to build into my headers
to make MHonArc happy?
Thanks

I now know how to edit the In-Reply-To: headers,
and then sendmail it to ILUG.
But I still think that the right conceptual
solution is to thread by Subject: and not by
In-Reply-To:.
Thanks for listening
And to Oleg for pointing out formail

Not always, as far as I can see.
Am I missing something?

You have probably covered this ground long ago,
but I am new:
When I post to ILUG I sometimes want to reply
to a message I have already deleted.
I am careful to reproduce the exact right Subject
field,
but does not seem to place it in the right thread.
What should I do instead?
Thanks
