Hi David, I have the same soundcard. There's driver for trident 4dwave that comes now with the kernel (2.2.16+), but somewhy its not working for me. my computer hangs when i load it, but - try it first.. If its not working, use alsa's driver. that driver works great (including full duplex, etc).
