Erez,   Fisrt you never told what display adapter you use, what X server and what Linux distro.   I use both ATI Rage Fury w/32Mb AGP and ATI 3D w/4Mb. They both fine with respectful X servers and configuration.   So please state your hardware and software before you run to buy another card.

HI since I couldn't solve my problem with my ATI display adapter, I want to replace it with another AGP adapter, a good one that is not too expensive, and works with Linux any suggestions ? ( a good one, not too fancy ) thanks

HI I do not know why, but my ati display adapter under linux Transmits to the display at higher brightness than the same adapter under windows. the problem is that the monitor can not handle it ( at least some monitors ), the displays seem saturated. anyone has an idea ? thanks erez
