Instead of setting up xfstt in XF86Config try setting it using xset.
The command should be something like "xset +fp tcp://{something}". You
should have xfs running before you run this command. For more information
and the correct syntax consult the xfstt docs.
I use this command in my .xinitrc
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
