I don't know if this could help but if you are in a need for some
non-standard modelines for X, trying to bypass some limitations, the

Hi,
It pretty much seems to be incorrect H and V frequencies
detected.check XF86Config with manuals. Also check modes in
XF86Config.

I am installing Linux on my sister's laptop (a Dell centrino, don't have
exact model). I went for RH9 because that's what would be fastest to
install.
