Well,
I bought the SuSE 6.3 (in the Box w/ book). It has 6 CDs and lots (really
lots) of packages. One can download from their FTP two other CDs:
The SuSE 6.3 Evaluation (A Freeware SuSE 6.3)
The SuSE 6.3 Live Filesystem CD (usually a one-CD bootable Linux, complete
with X et al).

Apart from sucking or otherwise, there is a bug in the SuSE 6.3 GUI installation
which prevents
lilo from writing the boot sector of a logical drive. A note to this effect
comes with the official distribution.
The workaround is to either use the old style text mode installation (adequate),
or
Carefull with the GUI installer - compared to Redhat and Mandrake - SuSE
Graphics Installers SUCKS!
