Evgeny is right - Use either qmail or Exim which both support maildir
format instead of the outdated mailbox format. That's what we use. We have
huge inboxes and no performance problems.

IMHO (and lot's of other people) sendmail is "outdated".

makes use of so called maildir format. Instaed of storing all the
messages in one big mailbox, each mes

By changing the cf file
By reading the sendmail operator's manual
By reading the sendmail book
By not solving it but claiming that it is solved

CF file, and got no error messages during the process, or while sendmail
