slave - which appears in KDE CVS and will be on KDE 3.1 version - so use
those RPMS ONLY if you're compiling KDE from CVS.

It's a plug&play modem, hence you must appropriately configure it.
You can explicitly state the resources which the modem will use by configuring
several jumpers located on the modem board. If you don't wish to physically
trifle with your hardware then checkout isapnp (This applies only if
I have a USR ISA PNP 56K internal
modem (sportster) and my computer is P-III 500 MHZ. redhat linux 7 does not
recognize that there is a modem at all ( /dev/modem doesn't exist ). mybe it's
because the modem isn't installed on one of the 4 standard serial ports (1 - 4).
