As already mentioned by others, the SVGA server works for just about anything.
But from reading between the lines of your query, you seem to have some kind of ATI or
S3 based "thingy". Question: Do
you have a real video card or something "built in" on the motherboard? It does make a
difference.

Hi Noam,
I don't really understand where you problem comes from since I
have Linux (RH 6.1) working great with my Laptop (with the resolution
1024x768), which has a ATI RAGE card.

I have the correct X server installed. the problem is (I think) that the
monitor is not configured correctly. I can't seem to find my monitor on the
list... I have an LG Flatron 775FT, and the X Server is configured to run on
a Generic Monitor.
does anybody know the parameters for my monitor?
