Well they are not more expensive, and they are local.
And when you want you can talk with the maintainer of the server.
I know many people that found out that their site does not work any more
because the server farm has bankrupt and no one can help.

Most of them will be happy to host your machine - so I think it will be the
best idea for you to buy and configure a machine - and put it there.. (in
case you want to quit your relationship with the hosting company - u just
grab the machine).
