Hi, In the BIOS, there should be something about which emulation (or whatever name they call it) the SATA drive should operate. It's probably buried way inside the BIOS setting (peripherals?) - you should try to set it to AHCI and then try to install, the drive will probably will be sda. Thanks,

Hi all, I am trying to install Ubuntu 7.04 on MSI board (PM8M2-V) with SATA HD. It seems that the installation procedure can’t recognize the SATA drive. The manufacturer has an XP dirver used in the installation process but no Linux driver. Does any one have any idea how to solve th
