Thanks! Works fine for me, once I convinced those Windows boxes to pay
attention to their MTU settings (hint -- if you create the W2K registry
entry as String instead of DWORD then W2K will silently ignore you, and
I know no easy way to get the currently used settings...).

use mru 1542 and mtu 1542 in your pptp command to reduce the packet size
received from the peer.
This is updated in the new HOWTO

Looking at captured network traffic both between the masquerading box
and the ADL modem and between the masquer
reduce the maxmtu of the win boxes to 1452 and they will work fine.
